Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: work focuses on Quality Assurance, Process Control, and Environmental Analysis using various instrumentation, including x-ray equipment, following and writing lab procedures, and maintaining safe working conditions. Analysis includes wet chemistry, instrumental analysis, physical testing, and metallography. As required, the Analytical Laboratory Technician possesses the authority to author, approve, and maintain documents, which are contained in the quality system. The Analytical Laboratory Technician is responsible and possesses the authority to assist in determining the disposition of a nonconforming product, which in certain instances may require a stoppage of production or shipment. Technical writing of reports is required. Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices. Performs other duties as requested by Management. Regular attendance required. Ability to work overtime.
Literate (able to interpret schematic drawings, production reports, and especially specifications, and computer screens), math skills (algebra, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, calculus), general maintenance skills, computer skills, good problem solving skills, good written and oral communication and organization skills, chemistry training, BS college degree in science related field.
