East Penn Manufacturing, a world class leader in lead-acid battery manufacturing, is seeking experienced Warehouse Workers for Shipping and Order Fulfillment at our Distribution Center in Maidencreek, PA.  Join our high-performing team where precision, safety, and innovation drive success.  We're hiring skilled Warehouse Workers who thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.  Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and has experience operating forklifts, walkie riders, towmotors, and stacktrucks. Average wages with production bonus opportunities ranging from $26-$29 per hour.

Plus a $5,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus!

 

Opportunities available on 2nd, 3rd, and Weekend shifts.

Consistent schedule and guaranteed 40 hours with opportunity for overtime.

 

2nd shift - 8 hour shifts M-F ranging from 2:30pm-11:00pm depending on the start time

3rd shift - 8 hour shifts M-F ranging from 10:30pm-7:00am depending on the start time

Weekend shift - 10 hour shift Thurs-Sun from 12 noon-10:00pm

 

Responsibilities

Retrieving unfinished batteries to be labeled and prepared for shipment.  Loads, unloads, and moves materials from one location to another within the warehouse using a towmotor, stack truck and/or electric truck (walkie).

 

Order Fulfillment

  • Manually lifts and picks batteries (weighing on average 40-50 lbs.) to fill customer orders using an electric pallet truck (walkie rider).
  • Completes a final check of the batteries charge using a voltmeter.
  • Labels batteries according to customer specifications.
  • Loads finished batteries on skids to build pallets.

Shipping

  • Use a computer and RF scanner to locate pallets for shipment.
  • Verifies that the order has the correct type and number of batteries.
  • Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to move materials or containers.
  • May weigh skids for shipping purposes.
  • Prepare products for shipping by wrapping pallets using pallet wrapper machine.
  • Builds shipping containers around pallets to prepare for export.
  • Loading product on correct trailers using material handling equipment.
  • Receives incoming material and logs it in computerized tracking system.
  • Verifies the correctness of incoming parts and counts
  • Sorts incoming parts and puts them away in the proper location.
  • Manifests pallets using a handheld RF scanner.
  • Use a computer to locate and move pallets.
  • Weekly inventory of product.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating forklifts, walkie riders, towmotors, and stacktrucks
  • Basic Reading Skills 
  • Basic Math Skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying)
  • Basic computer skills (ability to interact with computer screens).
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Safety-conscious and detail-driven mindset.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
