The Production Clerk provides administrative, clerical, and data‑entry support to production operations. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely processing of production‑related information, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The clerk maintains organized records, supports material and invoice processing, and assists with system data entry to keep production activities running smoothly.
A key part of the role includes payroll data entry and verifying employee hours. The Production Clerk compares timekeeping reports, checks for accuracy, confirms hours worked, and ensures payroll information is entered correctly and submitted on time. This responsibility helps maintain accurate labor reporting and supports smooth payroll processing across the department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform general clerical duties including typing, data entry, filing, copying, faxing, and answering multiple phone lines.
Assist visitors and employees, directing them to the appropriate destination.
Create and maintain spreadsheets to support production and administrative needs.
Maintain accurate records of incoming deliveries.
Create and update charts and reports in Word or Excel.
Review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Match packing slips to invoices and process packing slips for payment.
Develop and enter a variety of production‑related information—such as system tables, part numbers, bills of materials, routings/labor steps, and daily/weekly/monthly reports—into Glovia (MRP System).
Maintain regular attendance and the ability to work mandatory overtime.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Produce high‑quality, accurate work that supports production operations.
Maintain proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.
Must be literate with strong grammar and basic math skills.
Strong computer and typing skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with individuals at all levels—Management, technicians, clerical staff, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including phone and email etiquette.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with Somax and Glovia preferred.
