East Penn is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk who will efficiently and accurately handle all assigned customer account activity on a daily basis which includes monitoring of payments, credits and corrections.
Dealing with customers’ questions regarding their statements, invoices, credits, etc.
Research and resolve customer problems, particularly miscellaneous invoices (MI’s)
Contacting customers with questions concerning the application of payments on their accounts.
Write up any necessary corrections.
Entering appropriate notes in Indicium.
Will specialize in one or more of the following responsibilities:
*Maintains regular attendance.
*Ability to work over time.
Performs other duties as requested.
Responsible for producing a high quality product.
Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.
High school degree or equivalent.
Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Word & Excel.
Prior A/R experience and/or Customer Service and Office experience.
Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
High degree of accuracy with attention to detail.
Customer service oriented with a strong understanding of customer invoices.
Working knowledge of office equipment.
Present a positive, professional image to both internal and external customers and retain composure under occasionally stressful conditions.
Basic accounting knowledge.
