Overview

East Penn is currently seeking an Assistant Material Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination efforts of Glovia and eConfigure implementation in the Industrial Division.
  • Assist training Glovia and eConfigure users and act as a “help desk” for Industrial Glovia and eConfigure users.
  • Glovia and eConfigure system problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Interacts with IT in diagnosising Glovia/eConfigure/Mainframe problems.
  • Aids in report and view development.
  • Interacts with Engineering and costing to insure accurate Bills of Material and layout configurations.
  • Interact with Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Order entry, Purchasing, Production & Engineering in order to insure the availability of raw materials to meet production schedules and delivery requirements.
  • Run the weekly forecast programs. Act as a forecasting liaison between sales, production, purchasing and inventory.
  • Run master production schedule and MPS exception reports. Distribute reports.  Calculate materials requirements planning.
  • Understand DISCCS inventory system and reestablish a cycle count program.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Should possess strong troubleshooting skills, strong communication skills, be well organized, and have the ability to train others.  Experience or knowledge of Bill of Materials, Master Production Scheduling and Material Requirements Planning preferred.  Must have personal computer skills including proficiency with EXCEL, Glovia,and MSR.
