East Penn is currently seeking a Corporate Accountant to support general accounting functions for the East Penn Manufacturing (EPM) and Logistics (LLC), and subsidiaries. Primary responsibilities will include maintenance of the companies fixed assets including collaboration and coordination with the Manufacturing/Project Accounting team, Tax, and Subsidiaries. In addition to maintenance of the asset subledger, the corporate accountant will prepare the related fixed asset journal entries and account reconciliation for the general ledger. This role will also support financial reporting, and audit inquires for the EPM and LLC subsidiaries.
Experience & Qualifications
Recent college graduate to 1 to 2 years of accounting experience.
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or other related field
Skills & Competencies
Required:
Moderate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Present a positive, professional image to others (internal and external, as applicable) and retain composure under occasionally stressful conditions
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Adhere to deadlines on a consistent basis
Pays close attention to detail
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality relating to corporate financial affairs
Preferred:
Experience with fixed asset accounting or construction in progress accounting
Experience with SAGE Fixed Assets a plus
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
