Responsibilities

Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Industrial Hygiene Manager or Health & Safety leadership, this role focuses on executing key elements of the Industrial Hygiene Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, assess, and recommend controls for occupational health and safety hazards.
  • Perform routine tasks within established timeframes, including:
    • Personal and area air monitoring
    • Respirator fit testing
    • Blood lead consultations
    • Ventilation and sound level surveys
    • Respirator and hearing protection audits
    • Supervisor support (e.g., DMB and others)
  • Address employee concerns related to industrial hygiene.
  • Serve as a resource for area supervisors.
  • Provide technical and administrative support across various safety programs, including cross-training.
  • Assist with Hazmat and Emergency Response Team activities.
  • Ensure work meets quality, quantity, and timeliness standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and health & safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications

  • Degree in Health\Safety or sciences or prior Health and Safety experience desirable but not required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Health & Safety Desirable but not required
  • Previous exposure to manufacturing operation desirable but not required

Skills & Competencies

Required:  

  • Ability to work with various personality types
  • Basic Computer skills,
  • Basic math and science skills,
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal,
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member. 
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Strong self-starter/ Self Motivated

Preferred: Previous exposure to manufacturing operation
