Overview

East Penn is currently seeking a Trailer Technician on 3rd shift for our Garage in Lyons.  The primary responsibilities will be working on TRAILERS diagnosing and addressing a wide range of topics.

Responsibilities

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performing preventive maintenance on East Penn vehicles, (oil changes, tire changes, general repairs, etc.)

Performing Department of Transportation pre-trip inspections

Conducting general electrical work, and keeping a clean working area.

*Maintains regular attendance.
*Ability to work mandatory over time.
Performs other duties as requested.
Responsible for producing a high quality product.
Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.

Qualifications

Literate (able to read and understand service manuals, work orders, inspection bulletins, CDL bulletins), general math skills, strong mechanical skills, able to bend, twist, walk, and may lift up to 65 lbs., good hand-eye coordination, ability to work with limited amount of supervision and direction, CDL License, PA State Inspection Certificate, no less than 2 or more years experience as a diesel truck mechanic, or a like amount of time in formal training and actual hands on experience, basic fabrication and welding skills. Class A CDL and Class 7 inspection license preferred.
