Overview

East Penn is currently seeking a Finance Systems Administrator who will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing financial reporting and planning tools within OneStream and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (“BC”). This role ensures seamless financial operations, reporting accuracy, and system efficiency for the finance team.

 

This role is responsible for supporting the Corporate Financial Team’s Consolidation System, Financial Projections, and the East Penn entity’s General Ledger. This position is responsible for the maintenance of existing processes and procedures for OneStream and Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC and supports the deployment of new or enhanced processes or solutions. Additionally, this position is responsible for recommending improvements in each software’s efficacy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with global Accounting and FP&A teams to manage and provide user support of OneStream’s key processes (i.e. period-end closing, forecast/budget cycles, and consolidated financial reporting, with the possibility of leveraging additional platforms, such as account reconciliations).
  • Collaborates with the East Penn entity Accounting Team to manage and provide user support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central key processes (i.e. period-end closing, master data maintenance i.e. g/l account setup, project setup, user entitlements and permissions, etc). 
  • Manages metadata, data validation, and data governance.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to eliminate cumbersome manual processes.
  • Provides support, manages system training and user acceptance testing.
  • Participates in on--call rotation for user support, telephonicaly and via a shared inbox.
  • Contributes to delivery of reliable, scalable, and efficient technical solutions.
  • Manages all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) as required.
  • Supports system monitoring and oversees daily and other periodic maintenance activities in OneStream and Microsoft Dynamics 365 , including the planning for and executing of periodic software upgrades in coordination with the Accounting and FP&A teams.
  • Collaborates regularly with 3rd party vendors on issue resolution and product enhancements.
  • Acts as liaison between Corporate/Regional finance groups, IT, and external support to resolve application or other system related issues through completion.
  • Assists in executing improvements in the monthly closing process, both with the EPM entity and with the global consolidation to ensure results are reported accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Utilizes Power BI, Qlik, and other financial analytics tools to generate insightful reports and dashboards.
  • Administers user roles, permissions, and audit logs across financial systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

 

  • 2-4 years of experience in Accounting or related field is required, which needs to include
  • Proficiency in Excel (macros, VLook-ups, pivot tables, advanced formulas) for financial analysis
  • Strong skills in financial analysis/modeling tools, such as Qlik and Power BI
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP
  • Expertise with accounting systems
  • Prior experience/proficient knowledge in the following is preferred:
  • OneStream (preferred), HFM, Longview, Oracle, or equivalent consolidations software
  • Microsoft Dynamics platform (preferred) or other ERP system
  • Planning automation, consolidated reporting, data modeling & security
  • Supporting system configuration & software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Design & delivery of end user and critical system functionality training
  • Web services technologies (REST, HTTPS, XML, JSON)

 

Education/Certification

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or other related discipline is required.

 

Skills & Competencies

 

  •  Working knowledge of annual budget and rolling forecast processes.
  • Working knowledge of monthly close process and internal controls associated with master data maintenance and report integrity.
  • Desire and ability to analyze and solve problems and formulate and apply alternative/creative solutions to help improve how we operate.
  • Skilled at creating/maintaining reporting & analytics.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Office; advanced Excel skills with knowledge of working with large data-sets.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed; can effectively cope with ambiguity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: a team player with a proven ability to work across functional areas and all levels of the organization.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments/priorities simultaneously with tight deadlines and shifting priorities when needs change.
  • Willingness to embrace change and learn new systems, including but not limited to, proactively identifying improvements, enhancements, and advanced capabilities both with the current software functionality and those available in system upgrades.
  • Demonstrated ability and understanding of change management.
