Overview

East Penn is currently seeking a Manufacturing Accounting Analyst who will be responsible for assisting the Manufacturing Accountant with the capital budgeting process, operational profitability, financial analysis and risk assessment.  As well as other operations, finance, accounting and tax related projects, reporting and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Handle the day-to-day operations of the capital budget cycle - publishing monthly updates, processing approved requests, working with division heads on forecasts and projecting year-end figures
  • Aid in preparation of the long range spending plan
  • Support the transition to a new reporting system/interface for budgeting - streamline entry, tracking, analysis, resource planning
  • Support the Manufacturing Accountant in performing return on investment/cost-benefit analysis for operations
  • Assist with numerous profitability measures and risk assessment
  • Support the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Program – responsible for updating, maintaining, publishing the monthly dashboard and assisting in facilitation of monthly reviews
  • Assist the Manufacturing Accountant with cyclical audits of numerous functions, processes, areas, etc.
  • Aid in the research & development tax credit optimization program
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Manufacturing Accountant to educate leaders on the financials pertaining to their business units and determine which operational costs should be actionable
  • Assist with providing documents as requested by the Finance Department for tax and financial audits
  • May assist with other finance and accounting related projects as instructed
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

 

  • 1-2 years of financial experience (Preferred, but not required)
  • A working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite products) and standard office equipment

 

 

Education/Certification

 

Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Ability to handle tasks without assistance, as applicable

  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality relating to corporate financial affairs
