Overview

East Penn is currently seeking a Payroll Compliance and System Manager who will oversee and supervise FLSA functions/regulations and ensure payroll is accurate and in compliance with government regulations.

Reports to:  Corporate Controller and Director of Compensation

Responsibilities

  • Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll
  • Oversees appropriate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Facilities audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems, and procedures
  • Oversees yearly W2 preparation and distribution
  • Organizes cross functional work teams to process special payrolls such as yearly bonus, vacation buy-back, Holiday bonus, AWI
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with Dayforce

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
  • Four years of experience in payroll processing required with two years in a supervisory or management role preferred
