East Penn is currently seeking a Garage Mechanic to maintain all internal combustion engine equipment on the Lyons Complex. Possiblility of traveling to Topton DC and Alburtis DC.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on fork trucks, loaders and off road equipment (oil changes, tire changes, general repairs, etc.).
Performing Department of Transportation pre-trip inspections, conducting general electrical work, and keeping a clean working area.
*Maintains regular attendance.
*Ability to work mandatory overtime.
Performs other duties as requested.
Responsible for producing a high quality product.
Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.
Literate (able to read and understand service manuals, work orders, inspection bulletins, etc.), general math skills, good mechanical skills, (hand tools, etc.) able to bend, twist, walk, and may lift up to 65 lbs., good hand-eye coordination, basic fabrication and welding skills needed
