East Penn is currently seeking an Electrician for Rectifiers to work 1st shift, Tuesday-Saturday, 6:15am-2:20pm.
Troubleshooting and repair of all rectifiers.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on all rectifiers through out East Penn.
Accurate record keeping of work orders, projects, machine parameters and machine modifications.
Communicate both verbally and in writing to other shifts and coworkers concerning equipment status and updates.
Perform high quality, professional work at all times.
Work safely to prevent on the job injuries, this includes using LO/TO procedures and knowing machinery energy sources.
Observe all company safety policies, rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
*Maintains regular attendance.
*Ability to work mandatory over time.
Performs other duties as requested.
Responsible for producing a high quality product.
Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.
Basic understanding of electronics used in the different rectifiers (know components, function and simple uses).
Basic soldering skills.
Working knowledge of electrical test equipment to include multimeters and amprobes.
Understand the basic theory of rectification (understand components and the interaction of components used to change AC to DC).
Understand the basic layout of a rectifier.
Ability to identify and test basic electronic components such as diodes, capacitors and resistors.
Basic knowledge of reading and understanding electrical schematics.
Basic knowledge 480V three phase and 240V three phase.
Ability to correctly remove and install printed circuit boards and other electronic equipment.
Basic understanding of AC and DC electricity to include three phase.
Basic understanding of transformers and contactors.
Working knowledge of DOS based computer programs such as Norton Commander.
Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
Basic mechanical skills.
Ability to use hand tools necessary for the trade for modifying, building and repair of equipment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of plant layout and location of equipment parts and service manuals.
Ability to closely follow instructions.
Basic understanding of the SOMAX system in order to locate parts, equipment, work order status, etc.
